Human Robot Interaction

Catalog description

This course introduces basic robotic principles including kinematics, robot architecture and control. The historic context of robotics will be discussed. Students research current technical and societal issues related to human robot interaction. Throughout the course, students develop a project to observe a small humanoid robot interacting with people. The project includes the design and implementation of the robotic activity. Prerequisite: MME/ ECE 303 or MME 305 or IMS 322 . Cross-listed with IMS.
