Athletic Training Clinical Practicum I

Catalog description

Provides the student with a clinical-based educational opportunity within an athletic training practice setting working under the direct supervision of an Athletic Trainer (AT) or Physician (MD or DO) assigned as a preceptor. Formal assignment of the clinical experience is based on Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) standards. Over the course of the clinical experience, the student must fulfill at least 110 hours of clinical exposure, but not more than 215 hours. Along with the recording of clinical hours, other assessments will satisfy the course requirements. Prerequisite: KNH 491/KNH 591 /591.
