Topics include appraisal of information concerning risks to health, effects of social comparison on the experience of illness, control processes and coping with illness, emotional and cognitive factors associated with physiological responses to stress, psychosocial factors that moderate stress, including social relationships, personality, and gender, and the processes involved in attitude and behavioral change with respect to health issues.
