Catalog description

As a result of the positive psychology movement that has gained momentum around the world, well-being is now known to be a significant factor influencing quality of life, health, and human performance. This course explores the essence of well-being and its relevance to everyday living. The course also broadens students' perspective by exploring well-being within cultural and global contexts. Students will be given multiple opportunities to examine institutional and cultural influences on individual and societal well-being as well as the global forces influencing the development and use of the human experience of well-being across the globe.
