Advanced Business Intelligence

Catalog description

This course introduces business intelligence and its supporting corporate data infrastructure. Students will learn how to retrieve, clean, manipulate and model structured data for business intelligence. Several scenarios will be introduced to illustrate the variety of techniques that may be used in preparing data for analysis. In addition, students will visualize data using sound visualization principles and build interactive dashboards that utilize multiple charts, filters, and key performance indicators, in order to explore data visually and to assess business performance at a glance. Prerequisites: Math concepts covered in ISA/STA 250.
