Catalog description

This course introduces blockchain, the revolutionary technology behind Bitcoin. The first part of the course is designed to provide an understanding of all the traditional components of blockchain models, including cryptographic techniques required to make transactions safe and consensus mechanisms. In the second part of the course, we shift focus to blockchain applications. The topics covered include cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, fungible and non-fungible tokens, stablecoins, DAOs, DeFi, and the metaverse.
