The National Parks protect historical, natural, and geologic structures. Investigations in public conservation methods are explored to understand geologic features, systems, and heritage. This course looks closely at basic geologic concepts with a sub theme of the geologic evolution of North America as exemplified by the geologic features and development of U.S. national parks and other public lands.
