Social Work Practicum Education I

Catalog description
In this course MSW students complete a minimum of 300 hours of practicum education experience in a social work-related position or setting. Students engage in activities, with or on behalf of clients, that foster development of social work skills, knowledge, and values. In practicum education, students meet a range of clients, encounter diversity, and grow in their self-awareness and abilities to help clients. Students also participate in a bi-weekly seminar which is designed to integrate their practicum experiences with lessons from previous and current coursework. Prerequisite: admission to the MSW program.
