Catalog description
This course provides an introduction to the Finite Element Method (FEM) for analyzing engineering problems in structural mechanics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and Multiphysics multiscale systems. It emphasizes modeling, meshing, boundary conditions, and result interpretation using ANSYS Workbench, with selected analytical aspects of FE analysis integrated throughout. Students gain hands-on experience applying FEM to real-world engineering challenges. Lecture: 2 hours, Lab: 1 hour. Prerequisite: ENT 333 .
