Catalog description

Explores the fundamentals of digital signal processing (DSP) along with an overview of signals and systems analysis, applied in engineering and technology, with a particular focus on power electronic control systems. Topics include mathematical foundations, spectral analysis, analog and digital filtering, Fourier series and transforms, data compression, and image processing. The course also covers DSP hardware design and its integration into control applications. Hands-on laboratory sessions provide practical experience with DSP tools and applications, reinforcing theoretical concepts. 2 Lec. 1 Lab. Prerequisites: STA 261 or STA 301 .
