Catalog description

In this intensive course, students investigate contemporary and classic scholarship on the theories and practices of culturally sensitive writing center work; reflect on and write about their own and others’ habits as writers, readers, and learners; observe ongoing writing center consultations; and, mid-way through the term, begin to apply their acquired writing center knowledge by holding one-to-one and small group writing center consultations with a diverse array of Miami writers. EL. Prerequisite: permission of instructor.
