Speaking and Presentation for International Graduate Students

Catalog description

For graduate students whose first language is not English. An intensive course in English speaking, pronunciation, and presentation, with an emphasis on improving accuracy, fluency, comprehensibility, and clarity of speech, particularly for instructional contexts. Prerequisite: Placement test or completion of ELP Level 3 or score of “Conditional Pass” or “Fail” on the Miami University SPEAK test administered by the Graduate School to incoming graduate students with teaching responsibilities.
