Catalog description

This course provides students with a structured opportunity to demonstrate counseling competencies through an on-site, mock clinical experience. Designed as a midpoint requirement between Internship I and Internship II, this zero-credit course ensures students meet CACREP standards for professional skill development and are prepared to advance in their clinical training. During the skills demonstration, students will integrate counseling theory with practice by engaging in simulated sessions that reflect a variety of modalities. This course emphasizes professional readiness, clinical integration, and the demonstration of core counseling skills. Successful completion of the course is required for progression into Internship II. Prerequisite: EDP 671 , EDP 672 , EDP 674 , EDP 653 , EDP 654 , EDP 661 , EDP 663 . Prerequisite or Co-requisite: EDP 673 , EDP 651 , EDP 681 , EDP 681 , EDP 682 (Clinical Mental Health & Dual Track Students only), EDP 683 (Clinical Mental Health & Dual Track Students only), EDP 686 (School Counseling & Dual Track Students only), EDP 679 (School Counseling & Dual Track Students only). Co-requisite: EDP 649 , EDP 664 , EDP 678 , EDP 684 .
