Educational Technology in Health Professions

Catalog description

During this course students will experience educational technology from both the perspectives of a learner and instructor. Students will gain experience working with a variety of educational technologies including tools to promote active learning, self-directed as well as collaborative learning, curriculum development tools, tools designed to improve instruction, as well as related pedagogies, instructional principles, and learning modalities. Each student will be required to design and develop a simulated online course, including detailed learning objectives, instructional activities, methods for learner interaction, and appropriate learner assessments. Examples will be tailored for working in the health professions.
