Catalog description

This course is designed to equip teacher candidates with the skills and strategies necessary to teach math effectively to students in inclusive PK-5 settings. It focuses on methods for delivering instruction, utilizing assessment tools, and adapting teaching techniques to support all learners, including students with disabilities, English language learners, and gifted students. The course will emphasize the use of high-leverage teaching practices and cultivating an environment that promotes critical thinking and productive discourse, while also utilizing explicit instructional strategies.
