Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to explore the intersections among college student identities, mental health, and student success. Students will learn theories describing college students’ multiple social identities and the systems within higher education that shape these identities. Students will explore connections among social identities and mental health. The course emphasizes approaches to fostering student success among diverse students, including, but not limited to, culturally responsive counseling. Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
