Miami University’s Center for Civics, Culture and Society, in partnership with the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, presents this 2-day conference on the far-reaching impact of the Declaration of Independence. This event shows how the Declaration's principles of liberty, equality, and self-government shaped revolutionary movements, political thought, and literary traditions worldwide. It also explores how those ideas continue to influence struggles for freedom today.
