Catalog description

This course studies the analysis, design, and application of power electronic circuits. It covers the switching characteristics of power semiconductors, PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) techniques for voltage and frequency control, and the DC to DC, DC to AC, and AC to DC power converters. Prerequisite: ( ECE 205 and ( ECE 301 or ECE 304 or MME 303 or MME 305 )) or ( PHY 292 and PHY 294 ).
