Catalog description

This course provides an overview of key concepts and practices in construction management. Topics include: reading construction drawings, 3D modeling, Building Information Modeling (BIM), safety protocols, construction law, and contract management. Students also investigate essential construction methods, equipment, estimating and costing, financial planning, scheduling, project control, quality assurance, structural systems, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) systems. Designed to build foundational knowledge, this course equips students with the skills to manage construction projects effectively.
