Catalog description

This course explores how artists, cultural organizations, and creative citizens contribute to the ethical life of communities. Students examine the social responsibilities of arts leaders, the civic roles of cultural institutions, and the ethical dimensions of engagement, representation, and cultural policy. Through readings, case studies, and community-based projects, students develop the capacity to interpret and evaluate how arts and culture shape citizenship, civic life, and ethical decision-making.
