Catalog description

A follow-on course to summer Earth Expeditions global field courses, BIO 675 enables students to work with faculty, peers, and their local communities to address key ecological and education issues through hands-on investigation and action. Each student conducts a semester-long Inquiry Action Project (IAP) that requires scientific research in a community context as well as shared action or a plan of shared action addressing a focus issue. Prerequisites: Earth Expeditions field course, or permission of instructor.
