Figure Drawing

Catalog description

This drawing class focuses on the study of figure in assorted drawing media. Through various fast studies and extended drawing projects, students will learn to draw figures from observation; become familiarized with basic anatomy of the body; explore various media such as graphite, charcoal, soft pastel, and ink; and develop individual content through theme-based figure drawing projects. Presentations and critiques will complement the studio practice. Prerequisite: ART 121 .
