Prerequisite(s): None Career Discovery is a 3-credit, High-Impact Practice designed for students in their first and second year that enables students to build a sense of purpose at their university through an inspirational and immersive career discovery journey. Over a single term, students engage in hands-on projects with a variety of diverse organizations across industries, including established orgs, innovative ventures, and nonprofits. They experience first-hand what it’s like to work in high-demand fields and across a wide range of organizations and career functions, demonstrating how multiple academic paths can lead to meaningful careers. With a mix of asynchronous content, weekly live sessions, and exposure to real companies and professionals, students gain résumé-worthy experience, benefit from career coaching, and reflect on their strengths and interests. The result: greater confidence, clearer direction, and improved major selection and retention.
