Prerequisite(s): JMP 2430 or 3425 with a C or above, or permission of instructor Students gain practical experience flying small unmanned aerial systems for photographic imaging within a variety of indoor and outdoor environments. Topics include aviation principles for drone piloting, FAA, state, and local regulations, aerial imaging techniques, newsgathering, and the ethical use of drones in public areas. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be prepared to sit for the FAA license exam required for professional drone operations in the United States.
