Prerequisite(s): HSP 3470; HSP 4425; HSP 3320; HSP 4840 with a C or better, or approval of Field Director Prerequisite(s) or Corequisite(s): HSP 2040; HSP 3220; HSP 4700; HSP 4660 with a C or better Senior Experience This specialized internship experience allows students to participate in a variety of hands-on activities to develop clinical skills within a substance abuse treatment setting. In addition to the field service hours, students participate in an interactive seminar that allows students to apply theoretical classroom knowledge to actual clinical situations and experiences. Students must complete a total of 600 hours to meet the state requirements for clinical hours for a Certified Addiction Technician. Note: The course can be completed in one semester (15 credits/600 hours) or spread over 3 semesters in 5 credit (200 hour) increments.
