In this course, students will analyze the structure ofhealthcare systems whether self-pay, privately funded or government-subsidized in industrialized and developing nations. Emphasis is placed on the similarities and differences as well as the context of economic, historical/political, social/cultural, and technologic frameworks of healthcare systems. The global interdependence among nations and economies has an effect on the delivery and management of health care ser ices around the world. (prereq: General Studies Written Communication requirement)
