Prerequisite(s): None In this course, students examine the new world wine regions of Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Students compare and contrast major historical and cultural events that have given shape to these regions, their production methods, and related wine culture. There is a strong emphasis on the growing and harvesting logistics of location as well as climate and heritage. Class discussion is complemented by sensory analysis of selected wine groups opportunities to examine and inspect the production methods of various styles of wine.
