Catalog description

Students learn about laws, regulation, and agencies governing employment practices, discrimination, labor unions, child labor, employee benefits, occupational safety and health, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action. Note: Prerequisites LAWS 1101 & LAWS 1230 are waived for students enrolled in Human Resources Specialist Career Certificate (HRSCC). To register for this course, students in HRSCC are required to contact an academic advisor.
