Catalog description

Students explore the role of nutrition in health and healthcare delivery with an emphasis on evidence-based behavior change. This includes foundational knowledge of macro and micronutrients; digestion and absorption; energy balance and body composition; and nutrition throughout the lifespan. Through experiential learning, students practice client-centered strategies to partner with individuals explore and apply this knowledge for positive health outcomes in a non-prescriptive manner.
