Foundations of Biotechnology

Catalog description

Students learn introductory knowledge and skills needed for entry-level work in the biotechnology industry and practice safety,good documentation practices, and following standard operating procedures. Students gain hands-on experience with commonlaboratory activities involving aseptic technique, biotechnology equipment, and solution preparation. Students also learn the basicsof cleanroom operations and growing bacterial cultures Note: Students must purchase a pair of ANSI Z.87 rated indirectly vented goggles and a Lab Coat for class.
