Catalog description

This general biology series is taught in a two-course sequence: BIOS 1450 Biology I and BIOS 1750 Biology II In this first course,Biology I, students will learn the physical and chemical basis of life including molecular and cellular structure and function, energyand metabolism, genetics and inheritance, and the evolutionary processes resulting in the diversity of life. Both courses must besuccessfully completed to transfer as a two-semester general biology course. This course includes both lecture and labcomponents.
