Automotive One: Fundamentals

Catalog description
Students learn many of the basic elements of the auto repair trade including safety, chemicals, basic tool use, tire repair, oil change, TPMS systems, and introduction to electrical repair. Soft skills, such as attitude, ethics, professionalism, and on-the-job communication are encouraged. Students practice entry level skills by working in teams, using online resources, participating in class, and individualized hands-on lab training utilizing program vehicles. Before moving on to the next skill set, students must be proficient in the previous tasks. At the end of this course, students will demonstrate an individual mastery of designated skills using modern industry standard equipment.
