Catalog description

This course provides an overview of social change, internal and external sources, with a focus on the global development of science and technology. Also, it examines modernization and its social consequences from a cross cultural perspective. There is an emphasis on the role technological advances and science have on the powerful forces (economic, political, ideological, religious) inside and beyond the boundaries of the United States.
