Designed to introduce nursing students to the language of nursing, critical thinking, essential academic and interpersonal skills required for success in nursing. Nursing’s theoretical, philosophical, ethical, and legal dimensions are introduced. Topics include nursing history, current trends, professional responsibilities, and scope of practice. The course introduces scholarly writing.
