Intro to Music Production

Catalog description

A primer for those interested in exploring the latest tools for music production. Students complete creative musical projects on individual workstations using the latest versions of Apple’s GarageBand and Logic Pro, as well as Avid’s Pro Tools software. Topics include basic acoustics, microphones, digital audio conversion, audio file formats, effects processing, MIDI recording, and editing within the software environment. Open to all. No prior musical experience necessary.
