Video Montage Production

Catalog description

This course offers students a comprehensive view of montage video, film, and internet video production. Universally acknowledged contributers to the genre such as Sergei Eisenstein, Lev Kuleshov, and Vsevolod Pudovkin will be reveiwed in addition to modern producers of western montage production. Attention will be given to understand the developments used in film propaganda of the 20th century, in modern cinema, television, and internet video. Students will produce short montages following the five methods developed by Sergei Eisestein.
