Catalog description

Federal, state, and local support of education will be analyzed in this course. The influence of economic, political, and demographic factors on the financing of education will be explored. Principles and practices of sound school business management will be emphasized in relation to basic accounting and budget procedures. The construction of individual school budgets and their relationship to the district budget will be considered. Twelve hours of field experience required.
