Once considered a "hands off" issue, to be dealt with in the privacy of a family, cases of family violence increasingly are brought to the Criminal Courts. Drawing on the latest research, the course gives information about batterers and battering behavior. It reviews current practices, and examines various options available to Criminal Justice personnel handling the problem.
