Catalog description

This is a project-based exploration of biochemical laboratory techniques. Through practical application of the concepts learned in the lecture, students will gain an understanding of how biochemistry is performed in the real world. Techniques learned will include: protein expression, protein purification, SDS-PAGE, various chromatography techniques, fluorescence, western blotting, spectroscopy, and molecular modeling. Through group design of a project, students will also develop teamwork, oral communication, and writing skills.
