Research in Biology I

Catalog description

Students will conduct cutting-edge authentic biological research while working closely with a faculty mentor. In a small group setting, students will engage in-depth in the scientific method by analyzing the scientific literature, formulating hypotheses, performing hands-on experiments, analyzing experimental data, and presenting their findings to the broader scientific community. The research topic is dependent on the expertise of the faculty instructor/ mentor and may include research in neuroscience, cell biology, or microbiology among other topics.
