Catalog description

<b><font color="7A0018">Begins Fall 2025</b></font><br> This course will enable the student to develop a basic knowledge of the national diagnostic and procedural coding systems and to simplify the process of filing claim forms. The student will be introduced to the major medical insurance programs, reimbursement, privacy rules, HIPAA, basic understanding of legal and regulatory considerations. The student will be able to identify and define medical terminology and abbreviations used in the outpatient setting.
