Catalog description
In this course, students discuss legal issues impacting current nursing practice. Students explore historical and social factors influencing the development of ethics in healthcare practice and analyze ethical problems inherent in contemporary practice of healthcare. Students analyze emerging professional roles in healthcare, paying particular attention to the advocate component of these roles regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion.
