Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce the application of scientific processes to improve individual and team athletic performance and decrease injury risk. Coursework will focus on advanced techniques of sports science that contribute to a collaborative and holistic approach toward performance and injury prevention. Advanced sport science topics included in this course: periodization and programming for individual and team sports, key performance indicators, heart rate variability, biomarkers for health and performance, perception of effort and subjective monitoring, neuroscience approach to performance, and motor performance.
