Catalog description
This course is an introductory biology course for biology majors which emphasizes basic principles of cellular and molecular biology including the biochemical basis of life, cellular structure and function, metabolism, and genetics. The course meets for three hours of lecture per week and one three-hour laboratory per week. Prerequisite: One year of high school biology or instructor consent. A student must pass the laboratory portion of any science course to pass the entire course.
