Catalog description

This survey course explores visual art forms and their cultural relationships across history. With an emphasis on the foundations of visual art, students develop an awareness and appreciation for the history, function, techniques, and purposes surrounding visual art. Students will gain an understanding of visual vocabulary in effort to describe, analyze, and interpret art against its political, social and cultural backdrops.
