Catalog description
GMAW Flat and Horizontal focuses on the continuous wire Gas Metal Arc Welding process to produce surfacing, fillet, and groove welds in the vertical and overhead positions to meet American Welding Society (AWS) quality criteria. Safety rules and proper equipment usage are emphasized. NOTE: This course requires basic reading, basic writing, and intermediate math. MAT 106 recommended prior to taking this course.
