Catalog description

SMAW Flat and Horizontal focuses on welding theory and techniques in manual shielded metallic arc welding processes in the flat and horizontal positions to American Welding Society (AWS) quality criteria. Safety rules and proper equipment usage are emphasized. An introduction to oxygen acetylene cutting and welding is covered. Note: This course requires basic reading, basic writing, and intermediate math. MAT 106 recommended prior to taking this course.
