Cultural topics are explored, and supplementary beginner-level material may be read in class or as outside assignments. (1.1-Articulated) NOTE: Those students who are native speakers or who have previous knowledge of the language are highly encouraged to take placement testing in the Testing Center. This will ensure placement at the correct course level. This course requires basic reading and intermediate writing.
