Catalog description

Fieldwork Level IIA provides a minimum of eight weeks of supervised experience practicing the skills of an entry-level occupational therapy assistant. Students are assigned to a setting where they receive practical experience integrating and applying knowledge and skills to a consumer population that offers a diversity of clinical experience from that offered in OTA 265 (Fieldwork Level IIB). OTA 260 and OTA 265 must be completed within 18 months from the date of completion of the academic portion of the program. (1.2-Articulated) NOTE: Students must successfully pass the FWPE and course requirements to receive satisfactory (S) for the course. Students will be graded as satisfactory/no-credit for this course. This does not count towards GPA. This course requires advanced reading, advanced writing, and basic math.
