Catalog description
Concepts of Family Nursing focuses on applying the core components of nursing from conception through the postpartum period to childbearing women and families. Students care for the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and newborn clients. Alterations in health related to the female reproductive system are addressed. Note: Prior to the first day of class, students must submit the following to the Nursing Department: current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification (CPR), the student health record requirements including physical form, vaccination record, drug screening and background check.
